July has been a landmark month for Heurist Protocol. As we move forward in our roadmap development and community building, we’re thrilled to share our progress and insights with you.
Mining Season 2 Launch
Our Season 1 testnet mining concluded on July 19th after a successful 16-week run. This phase was crucial for understanding the challenges of incentivization of DePIN mining and how it differs from traditional Proof of Work systems. We identified the “Impossible Triangle” of any DePIN mining mechanisms, and designed Season 2 emission rules based on meticulous analysis and simulation.
Season 1 saw remarkable engagement: over 7,000 registered miner addresses (verified on https://sepolia.explorer.zksync.io/address/0x7798de1aE119b76037299F9B063e39760D530C10#contract), 3,000 to 6,000 consistently online GPUs, and processing of over 200 million image generation requests and 500 million text generation requests. However, we also faced challenges such as volatile daily point earnings and inefficiencies from bot requests.
We’re allocating 2.25% of total Heurist Tokens to Stable Diffusion miners and 2.75% to LLM miners, proportional to points earned. Additionally, an extra bonus pool of 0.4% token supply will reward early miners. For Season 2, we’re implementing key changes. Weekly token reward pool will be reduced greatly, and the rewards will be dynamically adjusted week over week based on real usage (Imagine, Pondera, Heurist Search, multiple Discord bots, and API users) excluding bots.

EthCC Presence
We sponsored two events at EthCC in Brussels:
- ZK Sante: The largest zkSync ecosystem gathering at EthCC, hosted by Clave and Zyfi, bringing together key players in the zkSync ecosystem including Cronos zkEVM, CryptoMaze, iZUMi Finance, Meson Finance, ZeroLend, and many others. The event highlighted the growing strength and diversity of the zkSync community.
- Converge: Web3 x AI Summit: Co-hosted by Heurist, Netmind.ai, and Caladan, this event explored the integration of AI and crypto. The summit gathered experts from both fields to discuss crucial topics such as decentralized compute, data provenance and privacy. We shared the stage with other prominent Web3 AI projects, including Aethir, Akash, and Ritual, discussing how AI and crypto can enhance each other’s potential beyond their individual capabilities.
The graphic assets used in our keynote slides were all created with Imagine — free Stable Diffusion image generator built by Heurist. We’ll continue to adopt contents created by our community in our communication and marketing materials, to make the world see the creativity of Heurist community.

Chain of Thought Feature: We were highlighted in the “Weekly AI Edge” series by Chain of Thought. Josh Ho and Teng Yan provided an in-depth overview of Heurist Protocol. This offered readers insights into our decentralized AI inference protocol and our vision for democratizing AI through blockchain technology. New Team Members
Welcome to our new members, David and Alex! Both have been creating AI art and fine-tuning Stable Diffusion models since late 2022. Their works have been downloaded over 100,000 times on Civitai.
Most recently, they collaborated on training a Zeek model based on CC0 assets of ZKsync’s mascot cat.
More models created by David and Alex will be hosted on Heurist soon!
August Plans
We will roll out our next big update to Imagine, our flagship image generator, very soon. You will be able to mint your creation into NFTs, participate in social media campaigns, climb up the leaderboard and earn ZK tokens for your participation🔥
We are working with Absinthe to build “HP” (Heurist Points) to incentivize community contribution and dApp usage. We will launch it late August or early September. Existing Discord roles, miners, and upcoming Galxe and Intract campaign participants will all be rewarded 🎁
We are also cooking up an initiative to build a Telegram mini app. This project aims to bring AI features to hundreds of millions of Telegram users, expanding our reach and making AI tools more accessible than ever.
